Hello friends and happy Monday! I know, I know.. Monday's should totally be optional but this week I am SO excited to bring you a fun filled blog hop on this beautiful Monday! I am part of a week long series where some incredible bloggers are bringing you a some swoon worthy inspiration to up your holiday decor game! Check back everyday for the links and updates on who is next in our week long blog hop series!
If you are coming over from Larissa over at Welch House at Reinvented Collection - Hello and welcome to my page! I hope you will enjoy this post and browse around and come say hello on Instagram, Pinterest or Facebook.
If you have been following me on Instagram, you will know that we don't celebrate Christmas.. GASP! But guess what??! I have a ton of decor ideas for you that include easy, inexpensive and beautiful WINTER decor.. so when everyones worrying about how to decorate come the new year, this girl right here has you covered! And you can use any of these ideas for christmas and then just simplify them to give you a beautiful winter look! I mean.. y'all know I am all about easy peasy decor right.
I created a winter wonderland front entrance and drew inspiration from trees and rejoicing with family during the holiday season - You can read all about the inspiration HERE.
The other little nook in our entryway is what you see right as soon as you enter - where all the jackets and bags get dumped. I kept this area pretty much the same because its not very practical for us to change this up all the time given the high traffic it gets. I mean, if I am not wrong, theres probably sand beneath that throw LOL.
The next big area that got a winter face lift was the dining room. I am usually incredibly intimidated by tablescapes and setting up a dining room. But more recently, I have learned that apparently they are not incredibly difficult to pull of? Also fun story.. that chair at the bottom of the photo that looks out of place? well, my daughter was sitting on it because that was the ONLY way I could get photo's taken on this day when the sun was cooperating (this room barely gets any light!)
I went with a simple concept - fresh winter tree clippings from the grocery store and my absolute favourite fruit of the season (did you know I ONLY eat pomegranates from November until they run out at the stores..its a miracle I don't turn red at the end of December ;).
This was such a beautiful complement to my FAVOURITE ever fine bone china dinnerware from Royal Doulton. I have some original pieces (hand stamped and all) thanks to my husband's aunt who gifted us this dinner set when we bought our home. Her collection of china is truly to die for so every holiday season, in ode to family I pull this dinner ware out and truly enjoy its richness! I paired it with my favourite Heart and Hand picks (check out the rest of my picks HERE).
Next up.. moving right along the main floor is our family/living room and kitchen. Again, keeping it simple for winter decor, I added a garland and some cute tree's I got from Michaels onto the mantel.
I kept the coffee table decor simple as it was literally taken apart the next second by tiny hands hehe..
My Favourite way to add some touches of winter or the season to the kitchen is always to decorate this tiered tray by 13 and market! You can style it a million ways and there is no such thing as a WRONG way!
Fresh pomegranates for the win in the breakfast nook to add some much needed holiday cheer!
And that is all my friend! This is how I brought about a cute winter look to my house without going too all out on purchasing new decor and keeping it simple! I hope you enjoyed this post and make sure to stop by and check out all the other incredible blog's that are live today and for the rest of the week! We are bringing some amazing holiday inspiration to you each day this week so think of it as a gift that keeps on giving 😉
Until next time!
Hugs,
Areeba

Your home looks so pretty decked out for winter. I love the contrast of the red pomegranates with the greenery on your table. Your china pattern is a classic and one that I’ve always loved. It looks great with those pomegranates, too!
thank you! the china was really the inspiration behind this all!

thank you so much! The table runner is definitely a keeper 🙂
Fabulous and elegant. I LOVE all the natural elements you used, especially in your tablescape. Using the pomegranates is genius because they add colour. Thank you so much for sharing. You have a gorgeous home.
Thank you! I love decor that I can eat 😉
I read through and scrolled through several times taking in all the pretty details!
Thanks so much!
Hi Areeba…I love all of the natural elements in your home, but I think the front entrance is my favorite. The evergreen branch with the chippy window and natural cotton makes me feel like I’m outside enjoying the winter weather 🙂
That means so much Wanda! Thank you for taking the time to comment <3
You have so many great ideas here. Beautiful
Thank you!
I so love your dinning room table! Your home looks great!
Thank you so much! I do love it so much too!
Your home is beautiful. I love all the unique touches that makes your home yours. I especially love your table.
Areeba you did a beautiful job with your tablescape and the photos in a room that’s naturally dark. I know how troublesome that can be to pull off so kudos to you on pulling it off.
Your wintery decor is fabulous and cozy. Your little entry is great too. I love that light throw blanket you used in that area but I have to take a minute to acknowledge the dishwares…. those are quite beautiful! What a great set and history to go with them. Those are the best pieces ever in a home.
Thank you for joining It’s A Wonderful House. Happy Holidays and winter festivities to you and your little family this season. ❤️
