This year Eid will look a lot different for everyone. We are all going to be staying at home, and celebrating within our own family units. The quarantine has really thrown most of us for a loop, because usually Eid is an elaborate festivity, with multiple parties (read:feast) starting after Eid prayers and for some continuing until dinner time! That is certainly not the case this year in our household, and we plan on having a simple brunch with family and calling it a day.
But, just because it has to be at home and simple, does not mean it has to be plain and boring. We can still create something beautiful and unique with what we have at home. As you know, I love celebrating, and last year I did not celebrate Eid because I was too far from family both times. So this year, I had big plans to host an open house for Eid and so on… but that is not happening. So here we are.
Today, I have a simple tablescape with some DIY craft paper chargers, and beautiful porcelain inspired dishes by Eid Creations.

I created a full tutorial on IGTV for you for the DIY chargers that you can watch here, but all we need are some craft paper, black marker/sharpie, scissors, and a black crayon. It is THAT easy. You can download the FREE PRINTABLE for these below to get started!

I chose to keep this tablescape super simple and easy, and was very much inspired by a recent initiative I was part of: The Low Waste Eid Gift Guide. I chose to use propogated pothos in thrifted jars as the centrepiece, because I wanted to avoid going out to purchase flowers. I also used canvases by Sehar Shehzad that I have had for around 8-9 years and you have seen them in my Eid Tablescape from 2018!

Hope you enjoyed this simple tablescape and idea! Do tag me or share the photos with me if you make these for Eid!
