Welcome back! If you missed my first post in this fun blog series, you can read it HERE.
Last week I left you to figure out what plant you are going to buy depending on the lighting and space situation in your home.
This is the fun part – head on over to your local nursery, home depot or even IKEA to pick out your choice of plant. Remember to read the little label in the plants to make sure you choose a plant for the spot (remembering the lighting situation) you plan on putting it in. You should also look at what pot the plant will live in – some (larger) plants are recommended to be planted in smaller pots like fiddle leafs.
I have two big plants in my home – a fiddle leaf which was a gift from a friend, and an indoor palm leaf. A fiddle leaf fig needs no direct sunlight but a brightly lit area – perfect for our front foyer.
A palm leaf, is also low maintenance and doesn’t need direct or oodles amount of sunlight – so it sits in our family room. I also have a few smaller plants from IKEA and some succulents that I planted last summer. These are also super easy to maintain.
Okay so now that you have your plant and where its going to live all set – stay tuned for more tips on what to do when you bring your plant home! Coming to you next week – until then, try to think of names for your plant 😉
xoxo
