THAT IS RIGHT!! Yours truly – a fellow Pakistani Canadian Psychologist and DIYer – will be on The Marilyn Dennis Show talking about DIY Ramadan Decor!! Can you even believe it?!
One of my goals as a Muslim content creator is to make Ramadan mainstream for our children – just like Christmas, Easter, Hannukah and so many other holidays are. I want our future generations to love Ramadan and feel included in the community they live in.
Being on an iconic Canadian morning show, talking about home decor for Ramadan, is a HUGE milestone for me and Mint Candy Designs. I can only hope that the little efforts we make to welcome Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic Calendar, will be rewarded for us not only in this life but also the next. I spent ALL Day yesterday and over the weekend preparing content and filming.
I asked my friend Haley of Haley Cobran Photography to come and help me shoot content because heck I am also solo parenting this week as my husband travels for work, and need all hands on deck! We spent two hours yesterday shooting video and photo content for a THREE minute segment.
It was sooo much work but I am so excited to see the footage on tv! You can catch the segment on March 30, 2022! I will be sure to share the link once it airs so stay tuned. And thank you – for being here and being such a seminal part of my community by allowing me a special space in your inbox.

These were the things were never Heard of, Ramadan Decor on tv ? . I still get a question every time I make a post on Instagram about Ramadan/Eid? Like what’s that? And I’m shocked really we live in mainstream media 2022,& I’ve some friends said to my face you are not like Muslim we see on tv. So there’s so much of Muslim side that people need to see. MashAllah and may Allah give you more success on your platform.
