It’s that time of the year again! This is our third One Room Challenge and I am so very excited about it! In the spring earlier this year, we transformed our hallway, and before that we transformed a spare bedroom into an office.
What is the One Room Challenge? ( as per their website)
“The One Room Challenge™, currently in its eighteenth season, is a widely anticipated biannual event every April and October. Each round, twenty design influencers are selected to take the challenge, as Featured Designers, and transform a space. Every Wednesday, the designers document their process while sharing their sources and professional advice over six weekly posts.
In addition to following along, everyone with a blog or Instagram account, is welcome to join the fun as a Guest Participant by linking their own room transformations up during the six weeks. Each Thursday, the internet and social media are flooded with interior design inspiration, ideas, and encouragement.
To date, more than 4,400 rooms have been transformed through the One Room Challenge™. The event, and many of the spaces, have been recognized and featured. “

Guess what we are transforming this time?! Prepare for some ROOM musical chairs!
Well, its a funny story. Remember the office we transformed last year? Well… since COVID-19, the office ahas moved to the old guest room, and the old office became the new guest room, and now the new guest room is being converted into a playroom.

In summary – our needs have changed alot since COVID-19, and we desperately need a playroom for our needs with liyana at home a lot. She is back in school now, but I am anticipating that schools will shut again at some point. And, I will need a space for her to play in that is not my dining room. So, in preparation for that, we are converting the spare bedroom into a playroom. This spare bedroom has now been the office, a guest bedroom.. and now it will see its third life as a playroom!
