Hellooo! okay.. so let me tell you. I love my instant pot since I have gotten it and recently I discovered I could make yogurt IN a jar in the Instant pot. This has been a total game changer. I know I am not the first person to invent yogurt making at home.

In fact, in the south asian culture and many other cultures in the world yogurt is traditionally made at home. This is usually done by mixing milk and yogurt, covering it with a warm cloth and leaving it overnight or even a few days.
I have recently started making yogurt in the Instant Pot at home. It is my new level of Pandemic achievement. Also, we are yogurt obsessed. My daughter literally eats it straight out of the jar after dinner as a snack. Yogurt is also used quite frequently in Pakistani cooking. We love yogurt. Period. However, with my whole family at home and the increased number of meals we have been cooking since COVID-19 has hit, our yogurt consumption has also increased. This means that more money from our weekly grocery budget is being funnelled towards buying sometimes 6 tubs of yogurt a week. That can add up fast my friends.
Solution:Let’s make yogurt at home!
I had made this yogurt 5 times now, and the first batch is a bit runny. However, by the 4th batch,, the yogurt is creamy, thick, and tangy, I have not tried to sweeten the yogurt, but you certainly can add honey or your sweetener of choice when you are mixing the milk and yogurt together.
However, it is quite annoying to scoop the yogurt out of the Instant pot insert into containers.
Solution:Let’s make it in a mason jar!
I did not come up with this idea. In fact, one of you messaged me with this hack. So, I tried it out. Yogurt making game taken to the next level! You will see what I mean below!

I think it would taste particularly delicious with a side of my very special spicy biryani.
