Soooo… here I am with a One Room Challenge (ORC) Spring 2020 entry! The One Room Challenge is a biennial event organized to inspire others to create something beautiful in their homes! You can check out all the talented folks entering this time around here.
This is my second time entering, with my very first ORC challenge this past fall! I made over a guest room into an office and now that office is back to being a guest bedroom, and the office is actually in another room – Quarantine switch-a-roo!

Originally, I had planned to enter my kitchen and living room but COVID-19 happened, and I wasn’t able to purchase any supplies.. so I used what I had and completed a mini makeover a few weeks ago! So for the ORC this time, I am entering our incredibly SAD hallway… We have to walk alllll the way through it to get to our room and Liyana’s room.. and it is just sad!

I had a gallery wall here which I recently took down and nothing has actually been done here.. the nails from the gallery wall are still there. That is how sad the room is! Here is a before for you!
Now.. we have 8 weeks for this ORC and I plan to take my full time because I am literally doing it as we go along!! I am typing this blog post a few days late.. because I just decided that I want to participate. Here is the vision I have for the space which is very simple:
- I want to get more confident with power tools… so we are going to do a board and batten on the two main walls of the hallway!
- I love displaying family photos, so we are going to add these in white frames.
That is really it! I know this project will take me the full 8 weeks because with full-time work and learning new skills like power tools.. I will need all the extra time!

So… here we go!! Another ORC challenge!
