Liyana’s Ramadan Room Transformation

Home Decor· Ramadan and Eid

Hi guys!!

Ramadan is TWELVE days away, and I am SOOO behind! Life has been so crazy busy, and with the whole qurantine and not leaving the house, I have been thrown into a swirl of trying to figure out what to do with all my Ramadan Ideas.

I decided to start with Liyana’s room (full blog post with all details here) with things I already had from previous years, and already owned decor pieces. The only new thing I used here is the banner from Banner and Cupcake Toppers who generously sent me the banner for Liyana’s school – but since school is closed, I thought I would feature it in her room!

We started off with this teepee tent that I got from amazon 3 years ago – I made it into a little Ramadan tent with some decor I had in my house!

Salam Handsome Pillow – Iqra Mehrin Home
Star Lights – Dollarama
Tassels – Home made
Stockings – The Cozy Home Chronicles
Basket – Home Sense
Rug – Vintage Find

Next, I added my favourite Ramadan Count Down Calendar by Eva from Handmade Beginnings to this little corner in Liyana’s room. Eva doesn’t sell these anymore, but you can find similar ones on Amazon etc. I also added a free printable with good deeds for Ramadan from Hira at Zair Zabr Play’s blog. I printed these out three years ago, and I reuse them every year!

The last corner in Liyana’s room was her pretend kitchen, which is an Ikea Duktig Kitchen, I remodelled for her first birthday – which she plays with. So I just put up the banner around it, and called it a day.

I wanted this to be a little play space for her to make iftaar and suhoor for her “friends” (dolls), and read them books etc and for us to spend some time in here this Ramadan. I am going to be sharing how I am adding little touches of Ramadan to the rest of the house this week, but this is the first part of the limited Ramadan home decor I am doing with all things I already own. You can check out my previous years Ramadan Decor too!
