Hellooooo from Pakistan!! Hope you all are doing well! I have been here about a week now, and its been so much fun!
If you are new around here, welcome! Make sure you check out the past few weeks progress on the office by clicking below! I am also sharing the mood board again for you <3
ONE ROOM CHALLENGE WEEK 1-4
Last week, y’all want along with me to Ikea while we chose a lamp while I was there! There were 4 options, and I really liked the Ranarp Work Lamp in brass and black
But… once i brought it home, I didn’t love the cords.
So… I had run out of time at that point, because I was flying out to Pakistan the next day and the lamp does need to function, so I can’t just cut the cord. I decided to leave it as is. Not everything can be exactly perfect… and part of the process is to accept what can be and what cant be. So here we are, with the Ranarp Work Lamp and its cords.
So.. what were this weeks goals?
This weeks goal consisted of styling the shelves we built last week! One of my favourite things about room makeovers is the styling process. I love picking out accent colours, and arranging decor. That stuff is SO much fun!
For the styling process, I literally shopped my house! I purchased a few new pieces from Ikea, but that was about it. If you remember, I had been gifted a ton of office stuff by a good friend last year including the fabric and brass pins for the bulletin boards I made. So, I used all of that decor, existing pieces I owned, and 2-3 new pieces from Ikea! Ive tried to link everything under each photo if I can find it.
I love using old and new items, especially ones that have a story – This hand mosaiced truck is from Pakistan, along with the checkers game that this vignette sits on. The truck is actually my husbands, but I stole it from him. Shhhhh… don’t tell him!
I also received this gorgeous mixed media painting by Fariha at Pennies for a Fortune who custom made this for my office! She is offering YOU 15% with code PFA15 – You can check out her Esty Shop here!
Also… this week, I got my gorgeous rug from Loloi Rugs delivered!! I showed it to you all on stories, and man am I obsessed or what!!! This design is called the Jaoquin Ivory/Charcoal. Here is me, admiring my degrees and deciding what to do with them, in the corner that I have yet to finish this week!
Okay so this is all I can share for now, without giving away the room! Come back next week for the BIG REVEAL!!!! I am so excited to show you the whole space completed!
See you all next week for the big reveal!! Until then, dont forget to check out all the amazing room transformations happening at the ORC Blog
Hugs,
Areeba
