The Best of 2018 - A Year in Review at Mint Candy Designs -

Hellooo friends!

I had absolutely no intention of blogging over the holiday break.. but I couldn’t help but share some amazing projects and accomplishments from 2018 over here at Mint Candy Designs!

First.. I hit 20K followers.. thats TWENTY thousand of you amazing people supporting me in this little journey that started off when we purchased our house in 2015. A little back story – I started this instagram account after we moved into our first home to get some decor inspo.. I soon after started a blog in 2017 to document some of the projects and ramblings I had to say (because lets be honest, captions on IG don’t do it justice!).

Second, I defended my Phd! That is truly the biggest accomplishment for me, personally. I have been slugging away at this monstrous degree since 2014. I will explain what exactly my degree entails in another post, but basically it is ALOT. So here I am, defended, and finishing the LAST requirement to become a clinical psychologist.

Third, in April, we went on a trip of a lifetime to Italy. You can still see some of the stories I shared from there in my Instagram Story highlights. We travelled to Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano all in tow with a two year old for a journey of a life time! It was such a great travelling experience and I shared some of my favourite travel tips with a toddler HERE.

Last, my husband and I completed some awesome DIY’s! I have rounded up my favourites for you guys to click through, because you LOVE the DIYs that I do. That is a goal of mine, to bring you some more DIY’s in 2019 along with other fun and educational content. Stay tuned for that! For now, here is a recap of my favourite !
