My Friday Favourites and some chit chat!

Hi guys!!

I thought I would do something fun and try to post every Friday about some things I am loving this week! I am typing this and thinking whatttt am I doing?!? Just last night on Instagram Stories (you can check them out still before they disappear!) I talked about how overwhelmed I am currently feeling. A short recap – My sweet husband and father in law put up shiplap for me this Monday. They left the paint and trim job to me.. but I don’t know if you know how much I LOATHE painting. So… I decided to call someone to come paint for us.. THIS WEEKEND.. the whole freakin’ main floor! Not just the shiplap.. why not get it all done at the same time, right… crazy.. i know. Anyhow, I talked about this last night and how it is the last month at my placement so I have a higher case load to see patients than regularly and training the next student. We also have some family stuff happening mid-late next week which will take up a few days.. so over all O V E R W H E L M E D!!

Anyhow, amidst the bazillion things happening, My husband and I managed to build our very first piece of furniture from a vintage singer machine base we scored at Christie’s Antique Fair last fall! You can check out the full DIY post HERE.  I am simply in LOVE! I mean mostly because we put a lot of sweat and hard work into because let me tell you getting the screws into that piece of walnut was a tough job for even our sturdiest Impact Driver! But I am also totally in love because my husband had a vision of what he wanted this piece to look like.. and truly he made it happen. So proud of us! Go team!

Another favourite this week is a homemade lavender sugar scrub that I made for my uber dry skin – you can check out the full post HERE – Honestly, it is the best scrub EVER! It is so versatile and easy to make – you can substitute any essential oil to suit the season or your preferences. Since I mostly shower before going to bed, lavender was a no brainer!

My third favourite for this week is this super COMFY  tee from American Eagle! It is as soft as clouds if you know what I mean – I am literally wearing it for the second time this week and it is SO SO SO comfy! You definitely need it in your life!!
