Spring is finallyyyy here in Toronto and we are getting some beautiful weather out here. I am so lucky to live in a place where we actually experience all 4 seasons and that means more fun decor for all the seasons!
This Spring, I am going all out with flowers everywhere in the house – fresh and faux! My favourite fresh spring blooms are hands down tulips and you can see them sprinkled everywhere in my home if you follow me on Instagram and also on my Spring Home Tour . But.. fresh tulips have incredibly short lives and are quite challenging to take care of. Luckily, I am good friends with the florist at our grocery store and she gives me all sorts of tips to maintain tulips that you can get here . I solely reserve peonies and hydrangeas for the summer months as they are the freshest and in season then and to me they are more summer than spring.

I also absolutely adore baby’s breath and because of its delicate nature and neutral colour, they fit well into any seasonal vignette. They are relatively inexpensive ($3 for 3-4 large stems) and last quite long without any real effort – BONUS!

Faux foliage is also a must have – because lets be real, fresh flowers on a weekly basis can get pricey REAL fast! So faux foliage is also a must have and some of my favourite sources for faux foliage and flowers are listed below:
The dollar store! You will be surprised at the high quality and variety of faux flowers you can find here! Can you believe ALL the foliage (succulents included!!) in the photos below is from the dollar store! It is always my first stop before I hit the more expensive options: [bws_pinterest_pin_it type=”one” image_url=””] [bws_pinterest_pin_it type=”one” image_url=””]
2. The next stop is of course Micheal’s or if you are lucky enough to have a Hobby Lobby – you can grab beautiful floral stems from there. Also it is always always always more cost efficient to buy a larger bunch like the tulips below and then use a wire cutter to take them apart and make your own bunches! You can simply leave the flowers out of a vase or put them next to a vase to create a beautiful, soft spring vignette!

3. Ikea – They have such reasonably priced, beautiful and cute little green plants that you can literally stick onto a tiered tray and call it a day!
